Jon Levy

Jon Levy is the founder and co-director of the biannual magazine Foto8, Foto8.com, HOST Gallery and a small photo book publishing concern, all in London. He started in photography at the International Center of Photography and later worked as a freelancer in New York for Gamma Liaison agency and the wire service AFP. At Foto8, Levy has co-edited and published four books of photography, including Vanessa Winship’s Sweet Nothings and Maurice Broomfield Photographs. Levy was a guest curator at the 2009 New York Photo Festival with the “Home for Good” exhibition. In 2010, Levy completed Rise, a six-month, eight-photographer commission and book for the Legatum Foundation, and Taking Land, a book with Alban Kakulya for the Zoi Environment Network.
