Whitney Lawson

Whitney Lawson is the Photo Editor at Travel + Leisure magazine. After graduating from Yale with a degree in photography, she interned in the Museum of Modern Art’s photo department, assisting John Szarkowski on the “Alfred Stieglitz at Lake George” exhibition. She has also worked at the Whitney Museum and in the photo departments of The New Yorker and New York magazine, where she both edited photography and wrote about it. During her time at Travel + Leisure, Lawson has commissioned photo shoots by Martin Parr, Ruven Afanador, and Martin Schoeller, among others. Her work has been selected in American Photography 23, 24 and 25.
